Garba and Dandiya

Garba and Dandiya are folk dances from Gujarat in western India characterized by dances in circles or lines. Garba includes clapping rhythmically while moving to the music in a circle.  Dandiya is performed by a group that moves in lines to measured steps, marking time by sticks called dandiya.
